I am looking for players who are interested of playing clan-like matches under voice-chatting. A problem with getting into a clan is that my motivation for this game is always swaying back an forth. But I really like its charm, odd learning-curve and LOTR-atmosphere.
My skills are at least not the worst. I do have some experience of the combat mechanics - the knowledge of timings, when you can get cancelled, damaged and etc. I have beaten some Conquest maps with Legendary bots, by controlling all the rings. The most maps are doable with archer (well, of course), and some maps as Warrior. I haven't tried this challenge as mage nor scout yet... but I can at least estimate that I would perform a little bit better as mage - and the worst as scout. I haven't learned scout's special techniques yet.
I think I may have Warrior as my main class, since I generally have a little fighting-spirit from karate IRL and even Super Smash Brothers.
Do you want to practice skills with me, or do you have any kind of recommendations?

Hey, nice to see some action in the forum again. You new to the game or, just listed under a new name. Interesting to see there are still new people discovering the game and exploring its mechanics. Learning the game was a bit easier years ago but there are some options ofcourse.
The problem, is that not many players tend to play this game on a regular basis anymore. At some moments of the day, there is absolutely nobody in the servers. On other times, there might be as much as 10. There are however, plans to enspire this game with life once again. Atleast, thats what Mayhem told me earlier (correct me if im wrong May).
I myself realy like the game, but for now, there seems to be no firm moment of the week to organise things. if there was, I would definately join you in this.
Personaly, I preffer playing on the 2nd level of difficulty if I do play offline. This is mostly due to the damage and health it is provided with the online gameplay. With experience, you will learn the way of kill and getting killed judged on the amount of damage you take and receive inwhich you can calculate your moves and strategy. This is advanced gameplay but something you will learn allong the way. As for your challenge with doing a legendary bots game with all the classes, i wish you good luck. This is an excelent way to experience the game and its underlying mechanics.
My favorite class is the warrior too. Been training with many players and friends over the years. Its interesting to see someone preffering this class over the standard mage or hunter. If you realy want to learn things, i am interested in playing a few training matches with you, perhaps with voicechat if possible. That could improve your skills a bit. We could play a 2vs2 if the opportunity arises.
Greetings sincerily
Gunther

I will write more soon, but do you mean that "Heroic" difficulty is neutral, like PvP?

I will write more soon, but do you mean that "Heroic" difficulty is neutral, like PvP? Yes. Part of the strategy in a PvP game or duel is knowing the possibility and limits. That means how much damage you can take or tank before you run into trouble and how much damage you can put into an opponent. Looking at the warrior: an axe to the head of an archer or mage leaves with a 1 shot mid or heavy spec. As archer, a Fire headshot kills all but the warrior instantly. Warriors need 1 normal more to die. In a teamfight, a crowd breaker makes you immune to damage and does do some damage itself but can be blocked. The throwback besides the Block,is also removed with a well timed dodge or a heavy normal of a warrior to overpower. This last one can be followed up afterwards with specials to counter and damage an opponent in return. the damage numbers or percentagedamage differ each level of playing on yourself and opponents You gotta furter experience it for yourself.

Playing with other difficulty leaves your combo's slightly less efficient if you decide to switch it for the regular PvP in the Tunngle reboot servers.

I would return if some Warrior Event/Tournament was made, would need to have the best warriors in it to make me return though. i.e. Taco/Morgoth/Zoro etc etc

About difficulty settings: I see. Thank you for clarifying that! I want to play with anyone of you who are interested doing so. The only problem is my router's co-operation with Tunngle, it doesn't work, even though I forward the port, or any other of those methods (trust me, I have successfully port-forwarded other games before). When I have joined the LOTRC network, I can't see any servers. Soo... I might have to host our matches through Hamachi (yuck) if I still can't solve the problem. But at least, I know how to set the FPS lock to 30 Sorry for the late response, but my email-notifications suddenly stopped working

Update: I will soon get a new router, which I hope will work with Tunngle. So... hopefully you will see me hanging around on the Tunngle server soon. Thanks for replies! Nice to see some engagement (well, at least a little)
