@onde Yup, they bought the great Pandemic Studios and they shut that after about a year, they even made them rush Conquest making a poor man's job of something that could have been even better with the new modes and characters that they were working on that got shelved.
The shotgun is an abomination (pls patch), That made playing scout very boring de-cloaking it every 10secs....any newb can kill with archer even more so with shotgun. Yeah, I hardly ever saw a very good warrior on Ea(Ps3) there were a handful but nothing like the standard when i came to Hamachi and saw Morgnab/Gothnub.
For me Scout and Warrior are the most difficult to master, The learning curve of Warrior is deep and i still feel there is much to discover.
Then again i can count Elite Mage's on 1 hand after 6years so maybe that is the hardest class to master....even though there is not a deep learning curve.
Time to get a P.H.D in Conquest. MaiMai? xD

EA is shitty company for shutting Conquest down, but currently the spot for shittiest company is taken by Ubisoft, they worked really hard for it. At least Bioware is making sth good for EA

I find it very easy myself, but 99% it seem can't reach Tier 1 status....The difference between T1 & T2 is insane (more than any other class mage has the biggest difference in T1 & T2)...even though Tier 2 mages are very good. Though this past year there has been an improvement i guess (in duels*), some scrubs stole my defensive style

But you can also have bad reflexes/aim and have terrible movement and map knownledge and still be good with that class like: Suzda. Mixing both you can became archer god like Angelus. Easy shit corrected for you, scrublord

In single player (or local play on console) melee classes could stand on even footing right off the bat with the nonmelee classes. However, with all of the lag/bugs/whatever a new level of depth was added to the game that had to be mastered before those classes could be played the way they were meant to be played. I think this led to most of the early hatred. On top of this, just about everyone has played classes similar to the archer or mage (point and click/cast ranged spells) and so those classes were not only familiar but a lot less difficult to get a handle of. If you play the game for 15hrs just to review it, there is no way that you can play through the solo campaign and immediately get online and pwn everyone with your favorite scout class. You will find yourself extremely frustrated and tbh I don't think I could blame those ppl for feeling that way (tbh the game itself has a lot of issues beyond this and I can't help but agree with the vast majority of the reviews this game has received). As time has progressed, I think we can pretty much all agree that this game has gone farther than anyone could have ever predicted. There are literally so many mechanics I am certain the devs were unaware of (jump-cancelling on mages/warrs, shotgun, cloak/recloak, infinite aerial combos, balrog dueling (lolz?)). I think it's super cool to see that all of the classes still have a semblance of balance remaining and that no one class has totally overthrown the others (I know there are some who complain about warrs, but I think in the end the warrs should probably be capable of winning 1v1 up and personal with anyone as every class is a semi-dps class). It's really cool how the classes have swapped so much and I really don't think any of us could have foreseen that the game would turn into what it is now three years ago. I think archer has changed the least as there are really not that many mechanics that have been added and the archer has always been a rage-inducing class. The entire class is basically made to slowly torment everyone else in the game. If any class were to be reworked I would ask for it to be the archer. Finally - I would just like to point out that the whole EA/LotR license/Pandemic thing happened at the same time that CQ was rushed out. I'm not saying Pandemic would have done more with it or "righted all the wrongs", but I do believe that they probably would have done something right after the release (seriously, could they have done anything else worse after the release?) I would have left this game long ago - probably right after the servers died - had it not been for something that EA never intended. No one could have ever planned it nor patched it. You guys made this game what it is to me and (I know) to everyone else here. We might not be perfect, but our little community is pretty FTW and we've got a great compilation of different personalities and stories. It's been amazing seeing so many totally different people coming together and putting aside their differences (well, most of the time ) for a common good.

"In Ringbearer mode, one player will begin the match as Frodo, who must deliver the ring. Other players will join the match as ringwraiths, fighting each other as they search for the diminutive hobbit. Should a wraith capture Frodo, that player will turn into Frodo and take over. The other mode that we heard about was Stronghold mode, which is a Risk-style strategic mode in which teams fight one another on various maps to take over the various territories of Middle-Earth."
It's a shame Ea made Pandemic Studios rush the release because the ringbearer mode sounded pretty good.
Most of Pandemic team now work at Infinity and Treyarch for nab Call of Duty games......Need to find one of the Devs and bribe him for the Dev Kit. If i remember the stuff that was gonna be added to the game was locked away in the code of the game so it would be possible to unlock it.
It's a shame we could not get the Dlc to work either.....the Heroes (especially Boromir,Arwen) were uber beast & the maps were very very cool also.
Did anyone try and get the Hero Arena working? (was beast Dlc) Witch King vs Nazgul, Taco? xD
ps. There was also gonna be 150 bots in online mode...luckily they did not add them. (i think they probably meant for ringwraith mode tho so nvm)
