Last night when i was watching a video about LOTR conquest , one of the links diverted me to the wiki of the game and found such Informations which i've posted as images below. Since you guys are professionals here and have been playing the game online since the EA servers existed , can someone tell me the reasons for people rating it so low and comments of writers of certain magazine to stone the game such way ?.

They thought that the Mage was so broken and overpowered and that the Warrior was so weak.............If only they could review the game now.

It would be cool if one would search for contact for the gamedesigners, and then idk, invite them into a busy day of conquest and show them how much it has been develloped and that, after all, the game has become far more complicated and demanding than any of them ever thought. Its like they make a game, then binn it bye cutting the online services and then after a while getting confronted bye the metamorphose (that a word?) which it has gone through in all these years while the game was unatended and unnoticed bye EA.

Electronic Arts....... The company renowned for being shit to their customers, They purchased the beast company that is Pandemic Studios who were the actual creators of LotrC/Star Wars Battlefront series and closed them down after only 1 year and then closed the servers.
They even made them rush the release of Conquest making them leave quite a lot of stuff from being finished and added to the game.
The Pandemic Studio people actually work on the Call of Duty/Battlefield games nowadays.
I don't even think the developers would have guessed how far this game has developed through the years, I bet they would be shocked of it's evolution.

So true but still it failed to see LOTR's development over time how long you play this game? Play it online I mean. You should watch the first movies about conquest, and compair it with idk, last cw movies. or recent duels. Then you might understand. The avarage level of skills and all the new tricks which are now normal but unknow in these previous years

The avarage level of skills and all the new tricks which are now normal but unknow in these previous years I'm playing online since 2012 but started it offline since 2009 dec. Watched the movies of lotr and duels too. Subscribed to morgul, angelus and SOR Mayhem on youtube , apart from that I'm watching the videos on the forums too published by certain players. Yes, I was online when certain glitches were actually tried by pros ( which everyone does now ). I agree to your point in all perspective but I don't get the point you're trying to convey. Are you saying that its a correct move made by EA to milk money from BF/Cod (leaving this game ,quitting the servers) ? or are you agreeing to the point that EA should pay its attention back to game and see its development that it has now ?

Realy? you play for so long? I thought only about 2 years. and only 1 clan for about half a year. I didnt say anything of that, and I highly dissagree, but well, its a decission which had to be made. Well, it was a dickmove to all of a sudden close all online events on like all lotr games alltogether, some only existed 1 or 2 years. From a economic consept I completely accept and agree with them. As a curticy they should have kept servers going for atleast 5 years or something. A company is based on wins and expences. And when too much money is given out, the company might go down. NOt enough money came in, too much was spent. They cut their losses and left to other games. BF and cod bring in more money. Its like the step 1 of branding.Keep your milkcows and leave out the weazels. "insirt a picture on marketing and branding here'' EA has cut all bonds with conquest. There are no more servers and appart from the label and intro of the game, nothing reminds me of EA. EA doesnt make any money on it, simply because I doubt any more copies of the game are made.

Might be similar situation to mine, i actually ordered a lot of LOTR games and books at that time, so i straight got Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales, Hobbit and Children of Hurin. And from games i got Conquest, Battle for ME 1, 2, Rise of the Witch King. Some time later added War in the North to the mix. I played Conquest in late 2010 but offline because no ea servers ofc. Didnt heard about Tunngle so after playing singleplayer campaigns and few scenarios (not much to do after that point) i simply unistalled the game. Later i stumbled on tunngle, it was around march-april 2011.
Sometimes you can keep servers open for really long, there are MMOs like Everquest and Asheron's Call which are played to this day but come from late 90'. At this point veteran players are playing with their kids lol, its been 15-16 years after all.
And reasons for servers shutdown from EA are quite logical, sure we can bitch about it but make a few countings. Count money went into game making, distribution, marketing and so on. Then look at bad reviews, which scare people (perhaps EA should have paid the reviewers to boost the scores? i wouldnt mind that lol) and i guess they expected more people to play and more money from this. It didnt work so they decided to not throw money away to reanimate dead corpse but like said, they cut losses and forgot about it.
