I'm wondering what people consider the hardest class to duel with? I mean, the class that takes the most skill to 1v1 at the highest level.
Watching these mage videos, I'm starting to think that mage requires the fastest reflexes of all the classes. Warrior and scout perhaps have a little more thinking time. Maybe archer needs the same level of reflexes but, if so, it doesn't have all the different options that mage does.
Anyone agree or disagree?

straight shot with archer is pretty much about luck and movement, so archer is not that hard to learn, scout is about spamming and hiding and warrior about axe mostly sooo ye i agree with the mage part

Mage duels are all about focus and reaction times(with the obvious experience and aim), in my quarter final you will see what a loss of focus does to mages. Mage duels are probably the most mentally draining duels you can have imo (depending on the opponent ofc) and I've had a 100min scout duel to compare them to I think Warrior takes the highest skill in duels basically because with mage you can only expect either lightning, firewall, or shockwave... with warrior he can do dozens of different combos, aerials etc. It takes even more focus & fast reaction times in 8vs8 for the poor weak mage.

It takes even more focus & fast reaction times in 8vs8 for the poor weak mage. No kidding. It's a brutally hard class to play in 16 person servers these days. Lately I've been impressed with DC Hunger Games. Never makes the same mistake twice, as Pig said. One of the very best 8v8 mages active at the mo. Not sure of his duelling, but in my view his 8v8 is tier 1. Edit: I think that, finally, after six years, the mage became a support class, as it was intended to be. These days it's rare (outside of certain maps - Helms tdm, etc.) to get top scores with mage. That said, it's an essential part of the team. For the last year or so evil side has lacked regular mages while good usually has 2-3. Makes public games very hard.

I pretty much agree with Ang. Mage is the skillfully the most intense class but warrior needs much more time to be mastered and is technically outstanding all the other classes. That said, i think scout is technically the most difficult and unpredictible class

Out of all the clans, theyre probably the one that consistently plays the objective the most and actually helps their team to victory rather than picking off kills and getting good k/ds. Its good that they play for evil seeing as server has been quite unbalanced lately

Hard to say, mage duels are fairly straightforward (as Ang said), but are still a lot more intense compared to the other duels. In melee and archer duels, you can retreat behind cover or run for a while, and rethink your strategy. In mage duels your opponent rarely allows you to break off from the fighting, causing you to be under constant pressure the instant after you use up your heal. Ive found that timing, precision and concentration are the main components to being successful at mage duels. I remember my duel with Angelus, I think ang was winning 5 - 0 or smth but he lost concentration briefly, made mistakes and I managed to get a comeback
Scout, Ive learnt that you can be pretty successful just by running and bombing. No real skill required apart from bomb accuracy. Same applies to warrior duels on Osgiliath, axe and run. Learning all the various combos for scout and warr takes a lot longer though, much longer than learning non-melee classes where you can chuck a few lightnings and still do pretty well in mage. While the mage and archer strategies have remained fairly similar, the warrior and scout strategies have evolved significantly over the last 4 years.

Ang you experienced a 100min long fight with Istari, not a scout duel xD
Roy don't be deceived: bombing and running is not the End All game breaking scout strategy - It scarcely is on Osgiliath. But if you're duelling a good scout in a small arena like on MTT, a bomb every 10 secs (which we can dodge and use ourselves far more unpredictably (and therefore effectively)) will do you little good. You would be dogged with combos before you even reached the perimeter, and even if you did it would only make predicting your movements easier. Watch Sector's scout vids; Reckless is relentless. Running and bombing is only affective when you have lots of open space to run at will, and even more wickedness I mean "patience" to do so. What really kills the opposition is the inevitable drop in fun I mean your descent to Hell I mean morale of the other player. (xD)
With mage and archer the strategy is far more straightforward as you have less moves to kill your opponent and also less ways to implement them. The stress is placed rather on accuracy: of both timing and placement.
Warrior and scout on the other hand offer a myriad of combos thus placing emphasis more on prediction - though of course timing and placement (here termed "interception") are still important. Based on your assumption of what the other player will do, how much energy they have (before a CB, etc), you adjust your strategy accordingly and try and remain unpredictable. Far from arbitrarily mashing buttons in the general direction of the other fellow, melee duels are immensely methodical.
Scout duels are not "spam", even when more than a few aerials are exchanged. Idk about you guys but mine are not random. They are either designed to hit, bluff/lure out my foe to do the same, or merely to stay cloaked lol. Warriors would hop around too if they had a reason (or didn't have a reason not to: cough axes every 5 secs cough lol)

Looking back, i'd definitely say scout. Mage is all about prediction and counter mechanics. Anyone who ever played a backstab scout would know it recquires absolute perfection over timing and execution. Even more so when you're facing runner scrubs like Angelus, Merlin or aka Gump Istari.
Had no idea archers could duel.
I spent my life destroying nabs with warrior. Can't say it was any hard. Aerials r easy, y'all just suck.
This is small talk actually. If you want a hard fight, try Ronjons's Frodo.
